Broken iPhone Glass? Touch Screen Still Functional?
Now, its ONLY the glass, if your touchscreen doesn't work, you need the whole panel.
Case remover tool, Mini Phillip screwdiver, plastic knife/spudge
Glue remover, (Goo Gone)
Glass Adhesive, preferably quick dry.
Now. To the directions.
WARNING OPENING THE IPHONE VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY:
We need knowledge on how to take apart the iPhone. But not the whole thing!
Just the back cover, the antenna cover and the Metal frame!
Easy enough?
Remember, All we need to do is remove the cable latch of the Headphone wire, from the back ,metal cover. and the Metal chrome frame surrounding the screen.
1) Remove all 10 screws around the screen. don't lose em!
2) Remove the Frame.
3) Now that the glass is exposed, use a blunt knife, plastic or wooden reccomended. Or a plastic spudger, Carefully SCRAPE ! yes SCRAPE off the cracked parts.
4) Now, the glass is GLUED ON TO THE LCD SCREEN, Be very careful, you do not want to puncture the LCD. This is where the GOO GONE comes in. Spray a bit on the exposed surfaces under the crack, DON'T GET THE INSIDE OF THE PHONE WET, this included the cables, and the logic board, and the battery!
5) Repeat. (avoid touching the home button)
6) Eventually you'll be able to pull off the rest of the glass.
7) When Done. Carefully add some glue on to the edges of the LCD, making a rectangular kind of shape. Make sure you spread it evenly, cause there is no way back when you place it on.
8) Put a dot of glue on the Glass you bought.
9) Smear it on the black corners.
10) CAREFULLY MEASURE out WHERE IT goes! THE POSITION is VERY IMPORTANT. ( Note the HOME button is the key)
11) Glue it on and place it on , let it dry for a while , ( place it near the sun, but not directly, like near the window) for around 5-10 minutes
12) Okay , Now its time to reattach the frame, and screw it back on.
13) Reattach the ribbon cable on the headphones on the back cover.
14) Pop the frame back on, pop the black antenna cover back in and you're SET!!
Thanks for reading hope this helps.
LG Latest Mobile Phone, GD900 Sports a Glass KeyPad
LG showcased its latest mobile phone, GD900, that has a glass keypad that it fully functional and may add as a mousepad for navigation purpose. Seems that that glass piece is a multi-touch panel that supports gestures.
This GD900 is just 13.4mm thick, has a 3-inch screen and running on Windows Mobile with their S-Class UI (I am not very sure about this UI). Below is another picture showing (maybe) gestures. It will be available in Europe and Asia in May.

Aston Martin’s Solid Glass Phone
CPT02 is a concept design for a phone for Aston Martin. Designers Mobiado imagine a high end version of the everyday gadget made of glass and platinum. Besides it’s basic phone operations, it would also have a number of special features to work with an Aston Martin car.
The phone would unlock the car automatically if you simply approach the vehicle and connects to the car display and the vehicle’s GPS. This would enable connections with social network sites like Foursquare, integrated cameras within the camera can be set to periodically upload photos, videos and information of passing cities or landmarks on Facebook and Twitter.
If the phone is in your pocket, it could transmit your movement during an accident that is said to allow a more responsive control over ‘safety deployments’ like airbags and seat belt stiffening.
The luxury phone concept is made from solid crystal, featuring a see-through capacitive touchscreen with platinum sides. The purpose of this concept, Mobiado says, is to push the boundaries of invention, allowing concept ideas to be identified for future production designs.

Two Glass mobile phone Concepts
Here are two very nice looking Glass mobile phone concepts by designer Mac Funamizu. We haven’t really seen any actual glass phones from any manufacturer yet apart from the glass screens on the iphone for example, so an actual phone made of glass would be amazing.

Toshiba G450
Toshiba G450 is a unique mobile phone and was created for quick and easy access to the Internet via cellular networks. The device is rather being called G450 cellular modem with built-in mobile phone, than vice versa. The main function of Toshiba G450 is a UMTS / HSDPA (7.2Mbps) modem, although in networks GSM / GPRS / EDGE the device is fully operational.
As for the design and form factor, Toshiba G450 resembles a stick or a mobile USB modem. The phone supports an alpha numeric keypad and display.
Toshiba G450 is all you need for fast connection to the Internet. It serves as a cable and CD with drivers, as well as control program WellPhone XT. Under Windows XP Pro everything becomes almost automatic. The program WellPhone XT is enough to create a connection profile for your operator and the internet is ready to use.
The connection is very fast, no more than three seconds. Unlike internal modems for laptops, for example T-Mobile Option GTmax EMEA, Toshiba G450 is not too hot and after a long work problems do not arise.

The speedy proc is nice, and the other features are as high-tech, such as the HSUPA/HSDPA data modem for 3G connectivity, the 4.1-inch hi-res WVGA display, Wi-Fi, GPS, and built-in support for DivX.
