Apple Ipad

Much regarded as the gadget of the century, Apple IPad is now in stores all across the world. Did it live up to its name or not is yet to be answered.
This gorgeous looking Ipad is more or less looking similar to the Iphone but not in its size, this one is just like a slate on hand. It is heavy with its glass and devoid of ports and buttons. Those unfamiliar with Apple’s mobile styling will wonder where the USB port and other slots are hidden and, obviously, there is no trick. The device has a single iPod-style jack at the bottom (but charges only on 10-watt USB ports so won’t charge from older pre-USB 2.0 computers), volume buttons under a screen position lock on the right side, and a headphone jack/mic on top along with a small outlet for a speaker on the bottom.
The Ipad is clearly something you have to take care of. The huge screen is just asking’ for a cracking and the rear side doesn’t fare well against whatever nitty-gritty crumbs, dust, and what-nots you might have on your table, making Apple’s $39 case (or another case of similar quality) a must. The case, incidentally, also doubles as a stand so you can use the Ipad like a little TV on your airplane tray. With a tap of a button the Ipad also doubles as a digital picture frame.
The WIFI in the Ipad is a mixed bag, sometimes it works fine and most of the times the connection is lost, the apple might be trying to patch this with any firmware update and if it cannot then update this feature in the upcoming models.
Media playback is really good in Ipad. It can play AAC and MP3 files and can also synchronize with Itunes easily.
The Ipad is actually a great tool for the photographer. With the optional SD card or camera connector, viewing photos on this is made a matter of plug and play.
Putting this Ipad for getting work done isn’t that pretty easy, initially it takes a lot of adjustment with the screen type and once you are set in you just hit the 'go'.
The bottom line is that the idea of Ipad is something truly magical but to have it in the reality shelf it needs more research and apple has to ensure it removes the flaws and get this Ipad in to a perfect shape.

IPod nano

The fourth-gen Nano is the friendliest set. You will really become a fan of Nano fourth generation once you start using it. The new Nano is available in a veritable plethora of colours, although the orange version that Apple sent me is clearly the pick of the bunch! The fourth-generation iPod Nano is more attractive than its predecessor.
One cannot deny, of course, that the capability of the new iPod Nanos to detect its orientation is also a very fascinating and attractive feature. The new Nano feels impossibly small in your hands and it’s wonderful to hold. Apple's most popular music player has undergone yet another extreme makeover. The size and resolution of the display is the same as the third-gen's version at two inches (5.1 centimetres) and 320x240 pixels, but it's been rotated 90 degrees to fit the form factor. The glass is shiny and reflective but in no way affect the viewing quality of the display.
The interface is pretty good. Another new addition to interface is the use of accelerometer to enter the cover flow mode.On the accessibility side, there is a new text setting where you can increase the font size to your liking. The Nano's music playback screen now presents full-screen album art by default, and Cover Flow view is zippier than before, offering alphabetization letters below the covers when you quickly flip through your collection.
Another software change is the addition of Genius, a playlist-creation feature introduced in iTunes 8. Choose the Genius option when a song is playing and the pixies in the circuit boards will assemble a list of 25 tunes that share the mood of the original. Genius works better on higher capacity Classics and Touches.
The fourth-generation iPod Nano's speed and usability is better than ever, but its sound quality and rated battery life haven't budged. Apple rates the battery of the fourth-generation iPod Nano at 24 hours of audio playback and 4 hours of video.
Like most portable video players, the iPod has specific file requirements for video playback, so you may have to spend some time converting video on your computer before transferring it. Fortunately, the iPod Nano's video formats are widely known by purveyors of Internet video, which often arrives preformatted for the iPod.
The iPod ships with 3 games Kolondike (solitare), Vortex, and the new addition Maze. Maze uses the accelerometer to move a ball through mazes. They get quite challenging and the game is addicting.
IPod Nano is highly portable. Everything about this unit is impressive. This Dangerously-slim player is the best. All I could say that it is a very beautiful set.

IPod Touch

The Touch remains a tremendous and innovative device, with enticing features. The second-generation iPod Touch delivers one of the most polished media players available at a lower price. It is one of the most impressive media players on the market today.
Whatever it is I’m pretty satisfied with the unit. Great design with a sleek thin body! The interface is really good and it is touch –sensitive. The navigation wheel was groundbreaking. The iPod Touch might have gone through a weight loss programme, but it's still big and you've still got to find somewhere to put it.
The new second generation 2008 version of the Touch not only leaves the software gaps filled, but also rounds out the missing hardware features. There are still a few differences; the new touch lacks a camera, GPS, and of course has no mobile data network features. In other areas, however, the Touch catches up to the iPhone and even ups the ante with a few new tricks up its sleeve.
The second-generation Touch also adds a speaker to the base of the unit, much like the iPhone 3G. But, again, the Touch is subpar in comparison: The sound is tinny and thin next to the audio emanating from the iPhone 3G; whether that is due to the iPhone 3G's differing construction or owing to the speaker itself is unknown. One missing ingredient is adobe flash. The new Touch also lacks the iPhone's earpiece speaker and integrated mic, as it isn't intended to be used next your your face. For the same reason, it also lacks a proximity detector, so the screen won't turn off if you slap it upside your head.
You can set music to run to, while the addition of a sensor (sold separately) that you attach to your shoe gives you running data so you can quantify the distance travelled, calories burnt and training performance and such like. Apple Ipod touch has a better grasp of level changes, from quiet background ambience where you can follow the gentle decay of sustained piano chords. You will love the player and the Wifi. It is the best choice for music lovers. So let’s rock with this exquisite set.

IPod touch (32 GB)

Apple's sleek design impresses once more. iPod Touch has always been an outstanding one. With great new techniques and applications, now iPod touch is even better. The all-metal-and-glass design is gorgeous. The scratch resistant card used makes the user feel secure about his ipod.
With iPod Touch, discover new music anywhere. Its built-in wireless capability gives you access to the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, where you can buy songs with a tap. The 3.5-inch display gives you video like you've never seen on a portable device. The main merit of the iPod Touch is the touch screen navigation feature.
iPod Touch is the only iPod with wireless access to the web. Safari is built in, so you see websites the way they were designed to be seen. The touch screen keyboard is used to access the web. By tapping the multi-touch touch screen, you can zoom in and out. You can also create a web clip on your home screen from any of the web sites. iPod Touch is the first iPod with Mail. And it's the best email you've ever seen on a handheld device. iPod Touch features the same revolutionary interface as iPhone, the most advanced software ever engineered, and state-of-the-art technology. With the multi-touch display, you can control everything using only your fingers.
iPod Touch feeds it from anywhere with a special YouTube player built right in. Watch featured videos, check out the most viewed, search for something specific, then bookmark your favorites for future reference. It's all the fun of YouTube--pocket-size. Thw wi-fi function is great, its like having your own mini portable laptop, you can connect to anything, you can download free games etc. You can choose from a series of music videos, video pod spit, TV shows, movies and trailers. The 32 GB iPod plays video, in MPEG-4, MOV. You can use other video with QuickTime Pro 7 for the cinema or other personal media.
Apple has found a way to squeeze more life out of a battery charge. With the 1.1.1 iPod touch software my iPod touch played music continuously for just under 17 hours—five hours short of Apple’s claim of 22 hours of continuous audio play. The 32GB storage capacity is fantastic for people who possess a lot of music and who will add a lot of other features to the item, such as; photos, films, applications etc. iPod touch holds up to 25,000 photos you sync via iTunes. Watching videos/films is fantastic, the picture quality is unbelieveable, along with the sound.
Apple's 32 GB iPod Touch has finally given the mobile device market a media player with a great combination of quality, features and capacity. The iTouch is nice. It is a fantastic gizmo.

IPod Classic

IPod Classic (120 GB) is considered to be the most sexiest iPod. This is a very decent product. Available in a 120 GB model that holds up to 30,000 songs, 150 hours of video, 25,000 photos, or any combination, the new iPod classic fills your pocket with sight and sound. Apple’s only remaining hard disk-based iPod, boasting family-leading storage capacity and battery performance at reasonable pricing. Available in silver or black versions, each with full support for music, video, photo, and game playback.

With 120 GB of space, iPod classic means you can always have your entire music and movie library with you. The interface is really awesome Also contributing to its classiness is the ‘click-wheel’ that is still seen in the player. Now the click-wheel reminds us of the occasional non-responsiveness we experienced with it. A newly added feature to the iPod is Genius, which you need to activate via iTunes. Genius is a feature that groups like songs that would go well together, kind of DJing. You can create a playlist of 25 such songs, however, consider yourself to be lucky and someone with a good collection if the Genius doesn’t show you the message “The Genius feature is unavailable for this song”.

Despite large hard drives and batteries, outdated 2.5” screen and interface continue to fall behind Apple’s best devices in ease-of-use and quality of overall media playback experience, forcing users to pick between great screens or the hard disks necessary to carry lots of video around. The audio output is satisfying enough, with the frequency response of 20Hz to 20,000Hz.Battery life for this new 120 GB model improved over the 80GB model from last year.
Most talk about getting good sound from an iPod is almost entirely focused on headphones, usually fairly pricey ones. But, to use a high-end audio mantra, you only get out what you put in. Another fantastic thing with Ipod is that it plays standard formats without having to pay extra for 'plug-ins'. All songs on Itunes come in AAC format and video in m4v but Ipod also supports MP3 and MP4 and a variety of other formats right out of the box. About playing videos, movies, etc. the screen is a little small in my opinion for watching a full length movie but for watching music videos it's awesome. The screen is crystal clear. The video quality of iPod Classic is remarkable; ditto with its capability of delivering video on TV with the Apple’s AV cable.
It’s a great device! Enjoy!

Apple iPhone 3G 16GB

Apple I Phone 3G is jack-of-all-trades handheld tool. This phone ROCKS its so hard to put down... The Apple iPhone 3G is one of the most mature mobile devices I have seen.
With fast 3G wireless technology, GPS mapping, support for enterprise features like Microsoft Exchange, and the new App Store, iPhone 3G puts even more features at your fingertips. And like the original iPhone, it combines three products in one--a revolutionary phone, a widescreen iPod, and a breakthrough… Internet device with rich HTML email and a desktop-class web browser. iPhone 3G. It redefines what a mobile phone can do.
The iPhone 3G supports the 2.0 software, an upgrade that promises new additional features such as iWork document support, contacts search and the capability to view PowerPoint presentations. Also included in the software are parental controls, a scientific calculator and user-friendly bulk-delete option. The supported Microsoft Exchange Server also offers email, contact and date planner, remote wipe, global contacts access and auto-discovery, enhancing its work-use crossover appeal even further.
The GPS features offered by the iPhone 3G are a cut above others, using Assisted GPS with the help of satellites. The 3G iPhone’s GPS can also be used for live tracking, making it a very useful tool for pedestrian or automotive navigation. Picture resolution and audio quality is good. The most important improvement of course is the incorporation of 3G technology. The camera is also great. The Apple iPhone 3G features a camera with 2 megapixel resolution.
The iPhone 3G continues to lack some basic features that are available on even the simplest cell phone. Multimedia messaging, voice dialing and video recording options which are standard in most cell phones are painfully absent.
Though the iPhone 3G isn’t by any means revolutionary it really does incredible job. I think that Apple is taking over the world with some truly amazing and innovative products. It really is one cool gadget.

Apple Ipod 4th generation

Apple seems to understand what people want and look in for and this understanding has to be appreciated well. Iphone is a trend setter in the touch screen / Smartphone category, toppling many brands in its way.
Released worldwide this July 2010, the 4th generation IPhone is stunning and is elegantly designed making it feel good and loaded with plenty of new skill. This phone comes in two color variants - black & white. The new Iphone 4G is loaded with updated features like video chat, multi-tasking and extremely fast downloading capability than its predecessors.
The phone has a 3.5" 16M-color LED-backlit TFT capacitive touch screen of 640 x 960 px resolution and runs on a 1GHz Apple A4 SoC. Has an inbuilt RAM of 512MB with storage options of either 16 or 32GB. A 5 MP camera with autofocus plus LED flash is truly at its best. The quality of the audio output is excellent comparing the previous phones and is even slimmer (just 9.3mm). For those who wish to take a video call there is a front facing camera.
The Retina display in Iphone 4G is four times the pixel density of a typical LCD Display making the text look like a high quality printed book. Though Apple claims that Iphone 4G is capable of doing multitasking, the multi-tasking is only to a certain degree and not 100%.
Love it or hate it... this Iphone 4G is here to stay.

Motorola Blackflip

The Motorola Backflip is surely a class phone of its own and is surely a jewel that uses imagination purely to bring out a real innovation in usage and style.
A powerful, handsome and fast handset that has a manual keyboard and a great screen with only 15.3 millimeters thickness. Wondering how it can be? Answer is simple; they put the manual keyboard on the back side of the reverse flip. It opens like a book with the keyboard on the back being exposed at all times. Being exposed all times is a boon or evil will come to know once it runs through the market? The keys on the keyboard have good tactile feedback and seem to have been made strong.
Most of the touch screens are making it to the 3.1 inch and this Motorola Backflip phone is no exception. It has a capacitive touch screen that comes in at 3.1 inches. The physical resolution of the display is 320 by 480 and has a TFT LCD style that might surely eat up the battery life a bit quicker. The Backflip alters from portrait to landscape using the built in accelerometer automatically. This is handy for texting and for viewing web pages.
The camera is a five megapixel model with LED flash, autofocus, retagging and video. The Backflip can record at 25 frames per second in the MP4 ( MPEG-4 ) format. This is nothing to write home about, but is acceptable. For audio you get stereo speakers and a 3.5 millimeter head phone jack.
The Google android operating system works awesome on this Motorola Backflip. It can do just about any social networking job you ask it. It has many applications ( apps ) that can track your friends, get you special prices and a host of other jobs. When you think about the fact that apps on an android phone are free, you can see the appeal that this phone has over Apple products, where you have to pay a fee to download most of them. If you ever lose your Backflip, you can delete ( called “wiping” ) the contents of the Smartphone from a distance. This especially comes in handy if your Backflip is stolen. Your credit card information is still secure. The android system is represented by the special user interface called “Motoblur” that improves the looks of things over a generic android installation.
For data network connections, you have all the goodies, including WLAN ( Wi-Fi ), Bluetooth, a web browser ( Webkit ) and a MicroUSB port. You also have a memory card slot that can support memory capability by up to 32 gigabytes via the MicroSD card slot. That’s more than anything for any normal use.
The mode of navigation for the screen on the Backflip is the back of the touch screen. You open the unit, and apply your finger behind the screen and access menu or other things. This is called “Backtrack” by Motorola, which sounds smart! Yeah. It takes your finger out of the way of the screen so you can see it all without your finger blocking anything.
Overall, this Motorolola Smartphone is a real challenge to many Smartphones in the techno market. Is tiny but still can do wonder and sit pretty inside your pocket.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA

Manufacturers and carriers are showing commendable restraint in avoiding totally bastardized, walled-garden versions of Android on their handsets (for the most part), but they're not avoiding it altogether -- take Sony Ericsson here, for instance. The company has announced that it's expanding the reach of its PlayNow app store to cover Android in concert with its launch of the X10, which presumably means that users will be juggling a minimum of two sources for third-party wares on this thing. Long-term, this kind of needless fragmentation seems like one of the greatest threats to Android's ability to become and remain a heavyweight player in the smartphone ring -- but then again, what do we know? It's not like these guys haven't already figured out how to dominate before with UIQ... ah, wait. Anyhoo, yeah, back to the topic at hand: devs are now invited to submit their Android apps for inclusion in the PlayNow store, so hey, you may as well -- the phone's looking to be a hottie, so it can't hurt to have your stuff featured on there, we figure.

Motorola CLIQ

Motorola CLIQ is the newest Android phone. It is made by Motorola and will be available on the T-Mobile network. Some of the key features include 3G/HSDPA connectivity, 5MP camera, and of course GPS receiver. It just wouldn’t be complete without the GPS – so you can Google Maps, Street View and bunch of location aware apps from the Android market place.

Motorola CLIQ will come with a 3.1″ screen, have a 1420mAh battery, WiFi, and bluetooth. A few other nice specs include the accelerometer and proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and the microSD card support up to 32GB.

Did we mention it has a Qwerty keyboard? That’s a must for a lot of people. And it has a glass screen – much better than most other Android phones.

TripleWatch

Though the idea of a cellphone watch is not so new, the TripleWatch designed by Manon Maneenawa has an interesting triple flip technique that allows the user to transform the watch into a normal cellphone. When used as a wrist watch, the phone has a speaker button that allows the user to answer the phone and hang up while driving.

NEC Tag

Somehow similar to the Snaked concept, the NEC Tag is a flexible phone concept that can be , for example, hung from a belt or wrapped around the user’s arm. Interesting is that the phone has shape-memorizing material and sensors that allows the phone to change its shape according to the mode.

S5150

Samsung S5150 clamshell design of the handset, cell phone with 2.2-inch screen with a resolution of QVGA-level, this phone supports three-band GSM / EDGE network. Another shell phone with a unique design and a hidden LED display that can display caller ID and clock.
It is reported that these two Diva series phones will be first on sale in the Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine and other European countries in January 2010,then it will be available for sale in China and Southeast Asia. Samsung mobile phone has always been very popular, such as the Corby family is now being hot is a good proof of this. I believe Diva Series to extend beyond the fashion craze in the market to achieve good sales.

Motorola A1200

I bought this last year. My only extravagant purchase for myself last year. Bought it when it was a heck of a lot more than $200.00. I loved this phone at the beginning. It was sleek, stylish, the features are cool. It's a Motorola Ming A1200, Cingular/AT&T phone. It has an MP3 player, video cam features, camera features, AM/FM radio feature, and all the standard stuff. The thing that reeled me in was the touchscreen and the stylus made it look like a PDA. Far from it by the way. As with all other things, you get over it. Now the touchscreen feature that reeled me in, irritates me. Not a good phone to text with.

HTC Diamond

The HTC Touch Diamond is a gorgeous stylish smartphone with many great features as HTC always are good for plus a super sleek design and high resolution display with TouchFLO 3D interface.

With the HTC Touch Diamond you can browse the Internet with one-touch access, check out videos on YouTube and uodate your Facebook pages. There is now a new CDMA version of the Touch Diamond for Canada's Telus customers. The GSM version of the Touch Diamond was first announced in May. It has HTC's new TouchFlo 3D user interface, along with a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, 4GB of on-board memory, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, and GPS.

Health Conscious Phone

Health Conscious Phone can smell and recognize foods eaten by their unique chemical signature. eNose technology is in charge of the process. It tracks and analyses info to let the user know what food groups he/she is missing. In addition the phone features unusual health-related design.

Microsoft Kin Preview
