Samsung S3550

Samsung S3550 Shark Slider is an all rounder slider phone with all the features that make your work easier. The chrome-look phone comes with a 2 mega pixel camera, music player, FM radio with RDS and bluetooth connectivity with Stereo Audio Streaming technology. Furthermore, you can also access all the Instant Messaging and Social Networking Sites that keep you in touch with everyone wherever you go.

The lustrous Samsung S3550 Shark 3 mobile phone is the third set declared by the company in Shark series. This set features much talked about DNSe enabled speakerphone, 2 G network phone and the company says it not labeled without of reach price. In fact, this set is expected to be the cheapest in Shark series of mobiles from Samsung. Metallic patterned back cover of the set makes it look more like classy handsets. Although S3550 does not hold too many high-end features, the outer form appears to push it in the class of smart looking set of choice. Further, users will be pleased with single touch access to social networking sites, distinctive feature of the Shark series. The set has sharp camera, expandable memory, and FM Stereo radio with RDS and Bluetooth features.

Worth noticeable is company’s company’s strategy to make it a demanding set for social networking when others are in the race for high-end touch screens. S3550 is a set packed with upfront advance features. Samsung S3550 Shark is a 2G enabled phone with GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 for support. The display has no exceptional feature, but common 240 x 320 pixels TFT screen of 2.0 inch. It is again a normal 256K colour screen. Even at Internal memory capacity of 35 MB, the Phonebook has comparable fitness for 1000 entries and features Photocall. The call recording features to make of 30 received calls, 30 dialed numbers and 30 missed calls. The 35 MB internal memory should not be a cause of worry since this set has a card slot for microSD (TransFlash). The maximum expandable memory goes up to 8GB.

Memory feature is the most crucial factor of any mobile phone. There could be several attractive features and applications in a handset, but to use them properly, adequate memory back up is necessary. Think of a situation that your mobile phone include excellent gaming features and you want to download lots of games to keep you hooked for long time. After downloading a few games, your handset display a message that the memory is full and it cannot install more games. Then, there is no point in using such a gaming handset that cannot install sufficient games. Hence, good memory back up is a must. Samsung S3550 does not promise to be a dedicated gaming mobile phone or a music device, but still its memory features are quite good. The built in memory of Shark 3 is 32 MB that can store 1000 phone book entries and 30 dialed, received, and missed call list. For using other applications, the handset comes with a card slot of micro SD that can enhance the memory externally up to 8 GB.

The connectivity specs of the Samsung Galaxy S2 are very curious - “4G” (actually HSPA+), Wi-Fi a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0+HS. The 802.11a standard uses the 5GHz band rather than the more common 2.4GHz so perhaps the WLAN radio of the Galaxy S2 will be dual-band for the other protocols too. There's also Bluetooth 3.0+HS, which should support 24Mbps data transfers (unlike the non-HS BT3.0, which as we found brings no speed improvement at all).
Update: We just got a tip that the screen of the Galaxy S2 will be curved, much like the one on the Google Nexus S. We found that to be a pretty nice feature so it makes us all the more eager to take the S2 for a spin.

As for the tablet, it’s the Galaxy Tab successor - a 10.1” Honeycomb tablet, with dual-core 1GHz CPU, 8MP camera with FullHD video capture and stereo speakers.
