Nokia E7 Release Date and Price

This Symbian^3 powered, metallic body smartphone was announced earlier and was set to release in first quarter of year 2011, however for some reasons, Nokia has still not come up with an affirmitive release date of this handset. The Finish company has announced this beautiful gadget in September last year and speculations were it will be released later the same year, but Nokia had decided to release it bit late, as they probably still wanted to tweak it to its otimum level. Nokia E7 Price is supposed to be around $650 USD, which is around 55,000 PKRin Pakistan. The final release date is still not announced, but we are affirmitive E7 will be released pretty soon in the month of January.

Nokia demonstrates flexible user interface prototype at Nokia World

At Nokia World 2011, Nokia showed that it can think out of the box with a very interesting prototype demonstration. Called the “Nokia kinetic device”, it features a flexible display that gives users a brand new way to interact with a mobile device. Instead of the usual touchscreen tapping, swiping, and pinching, the Nokia kinetic device works by being twisted, bent, bowed and tapped. A very interesting concept if you ask me, though it’s definitely not something that could replace traditional touchscreens, though it would do a good job in complementing them.

The technology for the flexible displays can also be applied to future phones/tablets for more durable devices that can be placed in the back pocket and sat on without any fear of breaking them. Plus, this flexible UI can work even when a person is wearing gloves, which makes it more usable than capacitive touchscreens when outdoors during the winter. Yesterday I revealed to you the Express, Feel and Share Nokia phones, designed by Provoke and available in a New York exhibition starting this weekend. Now it’s time for some extra pics of the beautiful handsets and some info about them.
One of the most beautiful devices designed for 2012 is the Express concept phone (above), that allows the user to change the color of his/her handset electronically, according to the mood he/she’s in.
The Share concept, on the other side will be designed for specific groups, who like to share information and communicate through codes and symbols. It’s a totally urban concept, that supports content tagging and the Share device you can see below is customized for skateboarders.

Nokia N82

N okia has introduced a couple of new software additions in the past few months for various Nokia mobile phones. Remember for example the Nokia Ovi Internet browser and the new NGage games. Besides these new software additions, the N82 has also been equipped with an integrated GPS receiver, navigation software and a five Megapixel digital camera with Xenon flash. The N82's digital camera is able to exceed any other camera phone with ease thanks to its superior image quality, speed and user-friendliness. Nokia awaken some high expectations here and the question is; can Nokia live up to these expectations?

The Nokia N82 has been equipped with a five Megapixel digital camera. The camera offers auto focus, an auto focus assist lamp for correct focussing and a xenon flash. When we take a look at the five Megapixel devices such as the LG Viewty and the Samsung G800, we notice that integrating (electronic) image stabilizer and face detection belong to the possibilities. Nokia did not integrate these innovations just yet. The Finnish phone giant is well-known for not wanting to be the first manufacturer to integrate these innovative features.

Europe : Launched in conjunction with the 100% Design exhibition in London, Nokia announced the radically shaped Nokia 7600 phone combining 3G capability with the latest mobile imaging features in a futuristic exterior. Taking Nokia design to a new level, the device incorporates a 65,000 color screen as the heart and soul of its front face. The Nokia 7600 enables people to capture pictures and videos, send and receive multimedia messages* and mobile email and listen to music. With this phone, people can also take advantage of the increased speed of the next generation of mobile networks by watching good quality live video content directly from their handsets. Weighing a mere 123 grams and measuring 87mm x 78 mm x 18.6 mm, the Nokia 7600 is one of the lightest and smallest GSM/WCDMA phones in the world.

Operating in GSM900/1800 as well as WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) networks, the Nokia 7600 is expected to be available in volume in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia-Pacific in fourth quarter of 2003. WCDMA is a third-generation mobile wireless technology offering much higher data speeds and better quality of service to mobile and portable wireless devices than current mobile networks.

Enhancing the exclusive design of the Nokia 7600, a limited edition series of 1000 phones in special sales packages will be available through a selection of high-quality lifestyle shops in Europe, including Conran Shop (London), Asplunds (Stockholm), Colette (Paris), Corso Como 10 (Milan), Vincon (Barcelona), Quartier 206 (Berlin), and Wittgenstein (Munich).

The Nokia 7600 phone opens a new door to the world of multimedia communications. People can view pictures taken with its VGA camera on an illuminated display with over 65,000 colors, as well as capture video clips, with audio, of up to 2,5 minutes each. In a WCDMA network, it is possible to send and receive video clips and pictures even during a phone call. The device also allows people to enjoy high-quality audiovisual content, such as real-time music videos or television news, as they are downloaded via the mobile Internet. **

The integrated MP3/AAC music player can play up to 50 minutes of near CD-quality music saved on the internal memory of the device. Music and other content can be downloaded using mobile services while on the move or locally from a compatible PC via infrared, Bluetooth or USB connection. With the XHTML browser, users can browse graphically rich mobile services. Other features of the phone include polyphonic ring tones, support for Java applications and a data connection speed of up to 384 kilobits per second in WCDMA networks. The phone has talk time of up to 4 hours in GSM networks and up to 2,9 hours in WCDMA, and stand-by time is up to 12,5 days in both networks.

Coinciding with the launch, Nokia also unveiled the Nokia Image Frame for displaying and sharing digital pictures on a bookshelf or desk, for instance. The Nokia Image Frame will come in two versions. The infrared only version, available from fourth quarter of 2003, allows owners of Nokia 7600 and other infrared capable devices to send and then display up to 50 pictures viewed one at a time or as a slideshow on its color display. In the first quarter of 2004, Nokia will add a second Image Frame to the enhancements portfolio featuring a slot for a SIM card. It enables receiving pictures also via MMS.
